Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is well known for movies like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 and a leading role in several television dramas. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial success. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated films that feature female stars. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. One of these is the British biographical documentary Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as and The Cannes Film Festival.
