Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her career in show business at an early age. At the age of 16, she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous television dramas. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was critically as well as critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is known for her work in numerous important projects in both the US and internationally. One of these is the British biographical movie Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
